As part of the joint German-Ukrainian project to support culture and preserve cultural heritage, which is implemented by the Kharkiv "Toloka" Community Foundation and the Kharkiv-Nuremberg Twinning Society, most of the building materials for emergency repairs have already been purchased for the National Literary Memorial Museum of Hryhoriy Skovoroda.
The museum is located in the village of Skovorodinivka, in the 18th century estate, where Hryhoriy Skovoroda worked in the last years of his life and near which he was buried. This year marks the 300th anniversary of the philosopher's birth.
The premises of the museum suffered devastating destruction on the night of May 7 from shelling by the Russian military. The projectile flew under the roof of the building - a fire broke out. According to the head of the Zolochiv community, Viktor Kovalenko, the fire engulfed the entire building. 280 square meters burned.
