Adaptation and weighted decisions
After the start of the full-scale invasion, the National Network for the Development of Local Philanthropy went through the process of adapting its activities. In order to be more effective and useful to society in modern realities, it is necessary to adapt activities to new challenges facing public figures.
New priorities were defined: the "MedAid" Special Fund was opened to support medical institutions, the Housing for Ukrainians project was launched with the aim of creating and arranging permanent housing for Ukrainians who lost their homes.
Act despite any obstacles
Despite the difficult period and risking their lives, the team of the Kherson Community Foundation "Protection" continued its work and even now supports the residents of the Kherson Region. Only last month, the fund was able to support 67 families with children in both the occupied and de-occupied communities of the Kherson region — its cities, towns and remote villages.
Believe in what seemed impossible
Sometimes there really is a desire to give up, but the Chairman of the Board of the Berezan Community Foundation was able to cope with fear and continue activities in the absence of support. The logistics of supplying vital goods was interrupted, shops and pharmacies were almost empty or closed.
Despite all the challenges of the war, the team of the Berezan Community Foundation found support from other members of the Philanthropist network. One of them was the Ridnya Community Foundation.
Find your target audience
The Zhytomyr Community Fund began to actively help IDPs, although it was difficult due to the lack of a sufficient number of specialists in this field.The organization adapted to modern realities, chose a position of universality and set itself the goal of helping specific target audiences.
Sharing experience is the foundation of victory
The exchange of experience is the basis of building effective public activity. For this reason, the National Network for the Development of Local Philanthropy recently held the All-Ukrainian Forum of Community Funds of Ukraine 2022 with the aim of raising awareness and improving the skills of fund representatives in order to increase the effectiveness of their activities.
