How can young pedestrians take care of their safety and parents be sure that the child is visible when he crosses the road?
Representatives of the Youth Bank of Initiatives (IBI) of Voznesensk sought answers to these questions when they received disappointing statistics from the Voznesensk Police Department. At the end of 2020, IBI representatives conducted a rapid survey of how well city students know and apply traffic rules, especially after quarantine restrictions.
According to the results, almost 70% of respondents do not know the basic rules of the road. And those who know the rules do not always follow them. Often students cross the road in an unspecified city, with headphones on their ears and focused on phone screens.
To improve the situation, the Voznesensk community foundation created the Visible workshop.
On June 14 and 15, master classes on making light-reflecting keychains took place, where students, parents and all those interested made individual light-reflecting keychains from a special light-reflecting fabric.
