The Kharkiv military hospital received the Cell Saver Elite autohemotransfusion system

As part of the joint humanitarian project of the Kharkiv-Nuremberg Brotherhood and the Toloka Charitable Foundation, the Kharkiv Military Hospital received a Cell Saver Elite autohemotransfusion system with a set of additional tools. This summer, for the third time, the Foundation has donated state-of-the-art medical equipment to the hospital.

The Cell Saver Elite device is the latest development in the field of autohemotransfusion systems, intended for use during surgical operations during which powerful bleeding occurs. The device allows you to collect the blood that the patient loses during surgery or trauma and clean it so that it can be returned. Its use makes it possible to almost halve the need for donor blood, sometimes to perform operations without the use of donor blood at all, to reduce the risk of transfusion complications by 5 times, while the recovery of hemoglobin, erythrocytes, and the volume of circulating blood is faster than when using donor blood.

Specialists of the Kharkiv hospital operate on difficult patients every day, they have experience in the treatment of combat wounds and injuries, and modern equipment will help to provide operative assistance to our defenders at the world level.
