As of May 12, 2022, the Kherson Community Foundation "Protection" provided financial assistance in the amount of UAH 3,400 to 333 families. These are different families - both large and raising children with disabilities and newborn babies. These are families from Kherson and districts of Kherson region, these are mothers with children - refugees from villages of the region where military actions take place (Stanislav, Aleksandrovka, Shiroka Balka and the communities of the Nikolaev area close to Kherson - Snigurovka, Brativka…)
Currently, Kherson region is a deeply occupied region. Families with children suffer the most from losing their jobs.
Kherson sheltered refugees in schools, hotels and private homes. People do not have jobs, and therefore earnings, and children need to be fed and treated.
