Traffic jams in Ivano-Frankivsk have increased in recent years. This not only causes inconvenience, but also negatively affects air quality. All this is due to the sharp increase in the number of private transport in the city. Data from the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Ivano-Frankivsk region show that in 2020 there were more than 17 thousand new registrations of cars. For comparison: in 2015 less than 3 thousand were registered!
Why do citizens prefer to use private transport instead of more sustainable modes of transport (walking, public transport, bicycles and other light personal transport), and is there really a great need for this?
To find out what influences the transport habits of citizens, "Warm City" together with the team MetaLab begins work on another study for Ivano-Frankivsk entitled "Factors shaping the transport behavior of residents of Ivano-Frankivsk united territorial community."
As a result of the research, the following will be prepared: an analytical report, policy proposals for local governments and communication of the results to a wide local audience.
A series of focus groups will be organized for the study, so "Warm City" will invite citizens to take an active part
