The names of the participants of the first art residency in Rivne Contemporary Art Rivne, which will take place from 7 to 28 August, have become known. Registration lasted from June 17 to July 8. During this time, the organizers received 69 applications, among which 21 were selected.
The project is implemented by the NGO "Space Interaction Platform" in partnership with the National University of Water Management and Nature Management with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
Participants were selected on the basis of an assessment of five main criteria: the overall quality of the application, motivation, portfolio or resume, communication potential of the resident and the project idea.

For three weeks in August, artists, researchers and activists will create works to draw attention to the environment and water issues in the region.
Laboratory mentors will assist participants in creating projects.
Part of the program will take place online. However, the implementation of the final projects, namely field research of participants and individual reconnaissance, will take place live in compliance with quarantine requirements.
During July, the residency will include a number of online events dedicated to the theme of water and contemporary art, which can be joined by anyone:
