The Toloka Charitable Foundation has become part of a large-scale German-Ukrainian project.
The companies of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels group, which represents the interests of the book industry in Germany and is, in particular, the organizer of the Frankfurter Buchmesse, have launched a project to help publishers, booksellers and authors from Ukraine .
The official partner of the project is the Ukrainian Association of Publishers and Booksellers, which cooperates with the Toloka Foundation. Our fund will deal with the targeted distribution of funds raised in Germany.
The help will be available to all publishers, bookstores and authors who need it. You do not have to be a UACC member to receive project funding.
According to Börsenverein CEO Peter Kraus von Kleff, the Germans were shocked by Russia's war of aggression in Ukraine: "Among the many Ukrainians who have been bombed, fled or died, there are also many colleagues from our industry. It will take years to rebuild the destroyed infrastructure. With this support campaign, we want to contribute and, as far as possible, directly and directly help our colleagues who need it."
