Zhytomyr City Mayor Serhiy Sukhomlyn and Zhytomyr Community Foundation Board Chairman Zhanna Solovyova told how much money was come in 4 months and what they spent on June 23 during a joint press conference in the city council.
Zhanna Solovyova shared that many people from Zhytomyr and different parts of the world joined the fundraising campaign. During the 116 days of the war, the fundraising campaign raised more than UAH 13.1 million in various currencies. For 4 months 9 million 55 thousand 373 UAH were spent.
The funds were spent in the following 4 main areas:
-territorial defense of Zhytomyr;
-needs of the military;
-support for victims;
-support for internally displaced persons.
Helmets, thermal imagers, night vision devices, batteries, lubricants, generators, electronic equipment and other equipment for the military were purchased with the funds received on the Fund's accounts; water filtration installation for the city of Mykolayiv and much more.
