"Networking is about finding people you understand and share common values and a common goal with."
"Meeting for Change" brought together 60 active representatives of Ukrainian local organizations and 15 international donors to create new equal partnerships.
In the format of live communication, local organizations could present their ideas to international partners, discuss future cooperation, exchange contacts and discuss what is most important to the Ukrainian public sector.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to attend panel discussions on the power of networking and equal partnerships.
We would like to share the main thoughts:
"Networking helps to represent ourselves so that our voice is heard"
Karolina Solyar is an advocacy coordinator at the National Network for the Development of Local Philanthropy.
Caroline Solyar
"Networking for me means a group of individuals who have something in common come together to work together, it's about mutual respect."
Yoanna Harbalinska, Director, Humanitarian NGO Platform in Ukraine
"We are currently working with territorial communities, and therefore, I can talk about local experience.
On the one hand, Caritas, on the other - public and city initiatives in communities. International networking is well developed, but in small communities it is only developing, so there are more challenges here.
There is an impression that people are afraid of losing something if they enter into a partnership or network.
For me, networking is about unity, which is very important for us. Ukrainians unite when there is trouble."
Maria Pahulych, Deputy Director of the Charitable Foundation "Caritas Kamianske"
