The World Federation of Ukrainian Women's Organizations (WFUWO ) is a women's organization founded in 1948 at the World Congress of Ukrainian Women in Philadelphia to unite Ukrainian women in their organizations, coordinate their work, represent them to their citizenship and the world, and work to defend the Ukrainian people. . In Ukraine, WFUWO represents the National Council of Women of Ukraine (NCWU).
On May 15, WFUWO , in cooperation with the NCWU, organized and held a teleconference to learn more about the situation in Ukraine with refugees and the needs of the army.
Participants of the teleconference were: officer of Arned Forces of Ukraine Ivanna Chobit, Deputy Chairman of the Women's Council, Chairman of the All-Ukrainian League of Ukrainian Women, volunteer Maria Petrova-Martsenyuk, Chairman of the Center for Women's Perspectives Lyuba Maksymovych, Olga Yavornytska, Chairman of the National Women's Council Lyudmyla to the UN Martha Kebalo. Alla Novikova, Chairman of the Board of the Berezan City Charitable Organization "Berezan Community Foundation", spoke about the severity of the situation in Kyiv Region.
